Miklós in "canon" is a powerful psychomancer, someone versed in the manipulation and control of the human soul - and while he's losing all of that while AU'd he can still read people's souls to some extent! Notably, while this doesn't allow for telepathy or anything of that nature, it does allow him to read:

• the "shape"/"color" of a soul;
• whether the soul is "tied" to another soul nearby;
• if recent acts have caused distinct changes to the makeup of the soul, whether they be trauma or outright tampering
